Information Collected or Received
Piquant Post will not disclose your name, email address or other personal information to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this policy.
As a Piquant Post customer, you are required to provide a valid email address at the time of purchase in order to create an account, so you can manage your information and purchases. Piquant Post will also require additional information such as shipping address and billing and payment information (including billing address and credit card information) to complete a purchase. We use two payment processors who store your credit card numbers on their servers using bank-level encryption: Stripe and PayPal. Our ecommerce provider Cratejoy also encrypts your credit card information when you enter it into the shopping card using SSL technology (secure socket layer), a standard practice for ecommerce software providers. We do not store your credit card information on our servers but use our providers to bill and process payments.
From time to time, our employees may contact you via email to inquire about product shipping, your satisfaction with our product, to answer your questions, and other inquiries at our discretion. During our interactions and surveys, we may collect your preferences and will only use that information internally to improve our product and customer service. Alternatively, you may reach out to our customer service reps via email or through our website. We will not post or otherwise display our communications with you publicly unless we receive your permission. For example, you may send us feedback on a monthly shipment and we may reach out to get your permission to post some of your comments along with your first name as a testimonial on our website, newsletter, or social media.
You may optionally choose to leave a review or comment on our website. Doing so makes your name (or alias depending on how you login to our comment and review system) and comments public, until you delete them or request that we do so.
