One of the best known Chinese spice blends, our Five Spice blend is made by lightly toasting and then custom grinding star anise, Sichuan peppercorns, fennel, cinnamon, and cloves for the *freshest* flavors you can buy (store-bought five spice almost never has the key ingredient - Sichuan Pepper). A little goes a long way to livening up your meals. In addition to using on poultry, fowl, and grilled meats, experiment with it on oatmeal, yogurt, baked goods, soups/stews, bolognese sauce, BBQ meats, or even in your coffee/tea!
