Ingredients

  • 8 oz dried Chinese wheat noodles (or spaghetti)

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 1 large red bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 Tbsp Piquant Post Spicy Tangerine

  • 1 tsp brown sugar

  • 1 cup bean sprouts

  • 4 scallions, sliced

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce or red pepper flakes.

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tamari instead of soy sauce and rice noodles instead of wheat noodles.

Make sure to have all your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you start cooking, as stir-frying requires quick cooking and constant stirring!

Instructions

Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and pepper and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until they start to soften. Add the garlic and stir-fry for another 30 seconds. Add the cooked noodles to the wok and toss to combine with the vegetables.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, Piquant Post Spicy Tangerine and brown sugar. Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss to coat.

Add the bean sprouts and scallions to the wok and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, or until heated through. Season with salt and black pepper, to taste.
